the power button for 5 seconds and try powering on again but this time with charger

POSITION AND USAGE
· If your laptop is fine and powers on successfully,
it is very important to mind the position in which you hold your laptop and the
surface you place it at in order to get the best of its efficiency.
· When adjusting position for your comfort when
working it is advisable to hold the center of the lead normally at the web
camera area and move it back or forth to your desired position.
· If not on your laps, try never to place the
laptop on a blanket or any heavy or thick cloth material, as it will cover the
fan and prevent air flow to the laptop. Try wooden and glass surfaces or the
floor.
4.
BATTERY LEVEL AND CHARGING
· When using the laptop in battery mode without
the charger plugged in, it is always safe to plug the charger back in when the
battery reaches 20% and out when it reaches its maximum charge capacity. This
way your battery will last longer at the same efficiency.
· Never remove or/and replace the laptop battery
when the laptop is in power, in use or turned on. This can lead to power shock
to the laptop and permanent damage.
· If your battery shows “plugged in but not charging”
yet you’re sure the battery if fine try another power adaptor or GO HERE for a
video on how to solve this.
5.
NORMAL LIGHTING AND DISPLAY.
· Proper light and display adjustments increase
the performance of the laptop and increase battery life. Always make sure you
reduce the light to at list 25%, 50% or 75% MAX, this reduces the power used by
the laptop as the greatest amount on power is consumed by the screen and the
graphics card.
· If you use your laptop for typing work, internet
and research or just watching movies and the third party programs you use do
not need the graphics card to be active, it is advisable to turn it OFF and
this will greatly increase your battery hours. Here is a short video on how to.
6.
SPEAKER(S) SAFETY.
· To increase the life span of your laptop
speakers it is advisable to first of all mind the system volume and then the
volume setting of the third party music players you install on your laptop.
Most user love installing VLC media player as it works best for both MAC and PC
but what they forget is that its maximum volume goes beyond 100% to 300% there
for playing music in this player at maximum volume will blow the speaker coil
and you will have to replace with new ones.
· Always first set the computer’s main volume
found in the bottom right section of the task bar to 80%, from there you can
use you music player at any volume but not its maximum. The advantage of this
is that the laptop’s main volume setting will protect your speakers for you and
you will have no problem for a very long time.
7.
KEYBOARD SAFETY.
· Protecting the keyboard will involve a lot of carefulness
as it serves a great purpose. Make sure you always use your laptop from dust
free areas to reduce the amount of dust entering the keyboard as this will kill
most keys and force you to look for a replacement.
· Always place a clean white piece of cloth on
your keyboard before you cover and store or when you leave it open for long
hours while not in use especially when watching a movie, though it is advisable
to always keep it shut when not in use.
8.
SHUTTING DOWN.
· When shutting down of turning off your computer
after use it is advisable to go to the default power off command in your
operating system, follow the steps to power off. Wait till the fan is off and
all power indicator lights are off before you cover the lead.
· It is bad practice to just hold down the power
button till the machine turns off unless it’s really necessary.
9.
SAFE STORAGE AND TRAVEL
· When packing your laptop in the backpack/bag, it
is advisable to make sure it is completely OFF, fun not spinning and all power
light indicators OFF. Moving a laptop in Hibernation or Sleep mode is NOT
advisable at all as this might cause power surge and shock to the laptop.
Hibernation and sleep mode are good if the laptop is going to stay in the same position
till its next use.
· Place the laptop in the first compartment of your
backpack close to your back with the screen side first, make sure the fan is
facing down and the DVD ROM up if it has any.
· Place the power adaptor in the very last
compartment of your backpack to prevent it from pressing on the laptop to
prevent screen damage.
· Do not put anything else in the same
backpack/bag with the laptop or squeeze multiple gadgets in the same space with
it to prevent scratches.
1.
CLEANING
· We all need good looking laptops until they get
dirty and bad looking. But still cleaning a laptop is not something you just
play around with as you can easily damage the screen or keyboard or the entire
laptop. I recommend using the “Universal Foam cleaner “ this is works well with
plastic and glass surfaces but should NEVER
and I repeat NEVER touch the keyboard of your laptop.
· When using it mix it together with “WD40” to
bleach all the dirt off your laptop. This process is so risky so I have decided
to create a simple step by step video on how to clean your laptop, so that you guys do not kill
your laptop keyboard and batteries.
