HOW TO PROTECT YOUR LAPTOP SCREEN FROM QUICK DAMAGE?

HOW TO PROTECT YOUR LAPTOP SCREEN FROM BREAKING?

On laptops besides the motherboard, the screen is the most expensive spare part to buy and replace as it will need the exact match and a technical person to fix it for you.
But the good news on the other hand is that you can protect it from any damage if you’re careful with the steps below.

SCREEN PROTECTOR: When you buy a laptop it’s advisable to first of all buy a screen protector and lay it perfectly well on the screen.  A screen protector will protect your screen from scratches and prevents the keyboard buttons from making markings on the screen and can also be used to reduce the screen brightness and those trying to peep into your work.

OPENING AND CLOSING: Most users break their laptop screens due to poor opening and closing practices. Right from the moment you buy your laptop make sure you touch the CENTER of the lead to both open and close the laptop. Holding the edges or sides of the lead to open and close the laptop will create imbalance and damage the screen.

PACKING AND TRAVEL: Most users pack their laptops working fine but only to be disappointed when we they open on the next time of use on a broken screen. This is mostly caused by the way you pack your laptop in the travel bag. Before you insert the laptop into your travel bag, enclose it in a sleeve bag first. After this place it in your laptop bag with the screen side facing your back. This will be good as you can add other things in the bag without pressing hard on the screen.

OBJECTS: Always be careful when closing your laptop lead not to accidently enclose any object between the screen and the keyboard. Always make sure your keyboard is free and clean before you close, because any object however small will instantly break the delicate screen.

BROKEN HINGES: If by any bad luck your laptop hinges break but leave the screen safe and working fine, it is better you leave the laptop open and carry it to the nearest technician to replace the hinges. Continued forceful use in this state will damage the screen in the short run.

CLEANING: Avoid cleaning your laptop screen with water and soap or any washing powder or liquid detergent. Secondly never clean your laptop screen when any cleaning spray when the laptop is still on, power it off first, clean it and then give it 5 minutes before you power it on again. Look around for a spray called WD40 and use that for your screen and keyboard.

HEAT: When in or out of use never put you laptop close to hot surfaces or objects like near hot cups of coffee as the steam and heat from these will gradually affect your laptop screen in the long run. This steam will fall on the screen and cool down into liquid form and we all know how bad water affects electronics.
Make sure your laptop has the right thermal conductor paste on the heat sink as an oddition to reduce heat coming from the CPU it self.
