MAKE YOUR COMPUTER SUPER FAST WITHOUT BUYING ANYTHING.

A slow computer in this generation, date and time is like a nightmare, and am sure most people will pay big sums of money to see that their computer, desktop or laptop runs at lightning speed. This on the other hand can be very costly and sometimes computers disappoint as one will add more and more chips of ram but then get results not even half of what they expected or saw on the adverts. Here am going to out line for you the things to do when your computer starts to become lazy.

PROGRAMS. Always make sure you install only programs compatible with your system’s properties and the computer will have no problem running these smoothly. Always un-install any programs you don’t really use from your computer to give it room to breathe and operate smoothly. Most users install programs for fun or to make their desktop look full and beautiful not knowing that these slow down the computer even as it logs on.

RAM. Different computers run different capacities of RAM but I would recommend your lowest capacity to be 8GB as more programs can run well with this. Most laptops come with 4GB RAM but this is no longer that much of a big deal as programs ask for more. So if your budget is small go for 8GB and relax it will work just fine.

SPACE. Always watch the amount of space left on your windows main drive also known as “Local Disk C”. The local disk C or windows main drive controls a great deal as filling it up so much consumes space for programs to operate smoothly and to expand normally as they operate. This at times can even cause the system to crush and will lead to loss of data. So be very careful not to fill it or the desktop with too much data, when you see it turning red it’s much safer to remove some data and buck it up on the other partition or an external hard drive.

JUNK FILES. Always monitor and remove residue files that programs create as you open them in the period of use. The easiest way to do this is to open the run box by holding down the windows logo key plus [R]. Type this in the run box.
  • “%temp% and press enter. Highlight all the content in the box that opens up and delete all.
  • The open the run box again and press “temp” press enter > highlight all and delete.
  • Open the run box one last time and type “recent” > enter > highlight and delete all.
  •  Restart your computer and am sure you will be amazed by the speed it will run at.
DVD-ROM DRIVE. Sometimes stuck disks in the DVD-ROM drive can cause the computer to get stuck as it cannot figure out what action or instruction to execute at that instant. All you have to do is press the eject button to remove this and the system will normalize. If the disk is stuck and the drive can’t eject normally then do it the manual way like this;
  • ·         Locate a small hole located near the eject button on the DVD-ROM drive door.
  • ·         Get a small straight pin and push it gently through till it presses the inner button.
  • ·         The door will automatically open and your problem is solved.
USB GADGET. If your computer starts to misbehave immediately after you plug anything in the USB ports then be sure it’s that gadget misbehaving and the system is fighting to read it so remove it and be careful not to plug stuff in your computer’s USB ports as some USB’s are “USB killers”, these are meant to kill computers in a blink of an eye so be careful with that.

WINDOWS. Always run the right windows compatible with that particular computer you’re using. Read your computer’s system properties and the windows designated for it by the manufacturer and be sure to install the bits your processor is compatible with (x86 or x64). If you install a higher version of windows than recommended then be sure to suffer the consequences.
